Belarus socio-economic development until 2020

The introduction of fiduciary management of enterprises has been discussed at the government session held by Belarus President. It aims at improving the performance of unprofitable enterprises. On the competitive basis the companies will be placed under fiduciary management for 5 years. The state will remain a supervisor. In the case of proper performance of the contract, the interim manager will have the right to become the owner. The decree provides for an exemption from the land and property taxes, as well as the rent for the plots. According to the experts, the novelties will allow not only to achieve economic benefit, but also to preserve social security protection of employees.
