Belarus will participate in the session of the Council the International Atomic Energy Agency. The agenda includes preparations for the 60th session of the General Conference of the IAEA and consideration of the annual report on the work of the agency, as well as issues of nuclear safety, the development of nuclear science and technology, the use of guarantees of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons. The session will be held on June 6-10 in Vienna. The Belarusian delegation will be headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Valentin Rybakov.The IAEA Board of Governors meets five times a year and examines the main reports, programme and budget of the IAEA and makes recommendations to the General Conference on the IAEA"s accounts.
