Belarus presents suggestions regarding further cooperation on Chernobyl matters at UN

Belarus presented its vision of the ways to develop international cooperation on the Chernobyl-related issues at the UN. Speaking in New York wasDeputy Foreign Minister Valentin Rybakov. He noted the necessity to ensure sustainable development of the affected regions through partnership, innovation and investment. The diplomat also spoke about the events that Belarus organizes on the occasion of the International Day of Remembrance of the Chernobyl disaster, which will be celebrated for the first time this year. The meeting also discussed proposals on the organization of multilateral cooperation in line with the new Chernobyl resolution.
