Belarus pays tribute to fallen heroes of Soviet-Afghan war

Belarus pays tribute to the heroes fallen during the Soviet-Afghan war. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko addressed veterans of war and peacekeeping soldier. The head of state noted that Belarus will always remember soldiers and officers who showed selflessness and courage in the hot spots of the planet and who took upon themselves the first blow of international terrorism. Traditionally, on February 15, in memory of the victims their relatives, friends and colleagues gather on the Island of Tears in Minsk.
