Belarus named safest country in CIS and the world

Belarus is the safest country in the CIS and the world, ranking 138th in the Global Terrorism Index 2019. Belarus along with Turkmenistan are defined as the safest country in the CIS in terms of the impact of terrorism. This means there is almost no threat of terrorist attacks. Russia holds 37th position in this list, Ukraine is 24th. Among the EU member states, the United Kingdom is recognized to be most impacted by terrorism.
