Belarus is marking Fatherland Defenders’ and Armed Forces Day. On this occasion President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to soldiers, officers, veterans, and all Belarusians. According to head of state, Belarus prioritizes the protection of national interests. A reliable security system has been created in the country, the Armed Forces are strengthening. The President especially thanked the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Traditionally the Embassy of Belarus in Moscow held a welcome reception. Among the guests were accredited in Russia military attaches of the diplomatic missions of Armenia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Denmark, India, Nicaragua, South Africa, the USA, the UK, China, the Baltic countries, as well as veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
