Belarus marks 73rd anniversary of Great Victory

Belarus marked Victory Day. Thousands of people gathered on the Victory Square in Minsk to pay tribute to those who fought for the Motherland. Veterans of the Great Patriotic War were the main heroes of the event. Traditionally, the Head of State took part in the action «Belarus remembers». Alexander Lukashenko laid a wreath at the Victory Monument. An evening open air concert featuring popular war and post-war songs was the highlight of the day. They were performed by Belarusian and Russian artists. Celebrations were held in all regions of Belarus. The celebrations of the 73rd anniversary of the Victory culminated in a spectacular fireworks display.
