Belarusian and Ukrainian customs will be able to interact as a whole on information level, as announced at a meeting of customs officials at the Novaya Guta checkpoint. It was decided to establish working groups for detailed study of information exchange between the customs services ofBelarusandUkraine. This will reduce control load and hence the time of vehicles" presence at the checkpoints.The heads of relevant agencies also discussed the possibility of transport and freight traffic on the Silk Road linkingChinawith European countries. Both sides have expressed interest in this issue. In addition, a draft work plan on fighting transnational crime has been prepared.
