Belarus celebrates Teacher's Day on 7 October

Traditionally, on the first Sunday of October, Belarus celebrates Teacher's Day. Today, there are on average nine students per one teacher in the country. The 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda adopted by the UN member states places considerable emphasis on high quality education. A quarter of graduates of profiled general education schools enter the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank.
