By the results of 9 months of 2016, natural population growth has been registered in Belarus – for the first time since gaining independence. The past year also promises to become a record over the last 10 years by the number of newborns. More than 57% of the babies are the second and consecutive ones in the families. The number of big families is growing. The state subsidy system is operating stably. The family capital of $10 thousand was introduced two years ago to support big families. At present, family capital deposits total to more than $290 million have been opened in Belarus
