Belarus and China: cooperation ahead of the curve

Trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and China is developing at an advanced pace. This was stated by Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova during her meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus. The meeting was held on completion of the Ambassador's diplomatic mission. Over the years of work in Belarus, the diplomat has been able to deeply immerse himself in the Belarusian-Chinese projects. Thanks, among other things, to his participation, last year the bilateral trade turnover reached a maximum of almost $8.5 bln. Interregional cooperation is also reaching a new level. Together with China, Belarus is implementing a lot of high-profile projects — from car production to biotechnology. The Chinese diplomat praised the achieved level of the Belarusian-Chinese relations and expressed confidence that they would continue to develop dynamically in all areas for the benefit of people of the two friendly states.
