Alexander Lukashenko demanded to conduct the harvesting campaign in time

The harvesting campaign is gaining momentum. More than a million tons of grain has been harvested already. The yield increased to almost 34 centners per hectare. Belarus President held a teleconference with all the regions of the country. The President instructed to complete this year’s harvesting campaign by 20 August. He also noted that crop storage is an important issue in terms of food security. Considering the weather, the current harvesting campaign is taking place in quite challenging conditions. The President demanded that everyone be fully focused and ready to work harder – the pace and effectiveness of the campaign need to be stepped up. Alexander Lukashenko demanded to conduct the harvesting campaign in time and harvest over 7 million tons of grain. He also demanded to increase the yield to 45 centners per hectare.
