Ivan Serkov worked as editor-in-chief of the Gomel TV studio for almost 30 years. His literary works are known to millions of Soviet readers. Among the most popular is the trilogy "Me and Sanka...". The author told about the fates of Belarusian teenagers who saw the Great Patriotic war with their own eyes. I. Serkov's story was the basis for the film "We are surviving boys". This year the classic of belarusian literature and journalist would have turned 95 years old. It is symbolic that the plaque was unveiled in the year of the 80th anniversary of Belarus' liberation from nazi invaders and on the eve of the People's Unity Day. The idea was realised by the artist Aleksandr Gvozdikov.
