A.Lukashenko and P.Poroshenko visited Chernobyl NPP

Today, when attending the Chernobyl Nuclear power plant, President Lukashenko declared that Belarus shall work only for peace in the Ukraine. Together with his Ukrainian colleague Peter Poroshenko, the Belarusian Head of state honored the memory of the perished clean-up workers. The two leaders laid flowers at the Wall of Memory at the commemorative complex “To the Heroes of Chernobyl”. The presidents also got acquainted with the construction of the new cover over the broken 4-th energy block and preservation of the worked-out nuclear fuel. After that, A.Lukashenko and P.Poroshenko started negotiations in a one-to-one format in the Laskovichi residence. The agenda comprises a vast range of issues of bilateral cooperation.
