A ceremonial meeting dedicated to Victory Day was held at the Palace of the Republic

The memory and a great feat of our people. A ceremonial gathering and concert of artists took place at the Palace of the Republic on 6 May. The event brought together war and labor veterans, representatives of the clergy, public associations and political parties, and delegations from the regions. It was a dialogue between the past and the present, between memory and the future. Hence the concert's title: "The Feat of Our Fathers — the Pride of Our Descendants". The performances were built around the continuity of generations. Instead of a straightforward list of dates and events, they featured personal stories, feelings, and experiences of people whose lives were touched by the war.
