More than five hundred people, representatives of all regions and industries, gathered in Minsk for the 8th congress of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus. Doctors, teachers, energy sector workers, builders, and farmers. The day before, delegates managed to discuss the agenda, summed up the results of the five-year plan and outlined a plan until 2025. Today, the President will take part in the congress. It is expected that the Head of State will deliver a speech at the congress in which he will speak about the role and achievements of the trade union movement in Belarus, as well as outline his position on the initiatives put forward and issues that need to be addressed. Traditionally, the congress gathers many foreign guests. So, representatives of national trade union centers of Russia, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Albania, Turkey, Portugal and Cyprus arrived in Minsk.
