145 children born in Belarus, including 36 in Minsk, on January 1

A total of 145 children were born in Belarus, including 36 in Minsk, on the first day of the new year. The first baby girl of the year in Belarus was born in Baranovichi 15 minutes after midnight. The first baby in Minsk, a boy, made his appearance at the Mother and Child National Research Center at 1am. Today Belarus Healthcare Minister Valery Malashko visited the Mother and Child National Research Center to give presents to the infants born in the first hours of the new year and their mothers. According to WHO, infant mortality rate in Belarus is among the lowest on the European continent.
