Raising efficiency of Belarusian construction industry discussed at nationwide conference held by President

Belarus President took part in the republican conference to discuss measures to raise the efficiency of the Belarusian construction industry. The head of state gave a number of instructions. First of all, they concern such key issues as the cost, quality, and length of construction. One of the priorities is to preserve the formula “the price of a square meter of housing with state support should not exceed the average monthly salary. Yet, a salary of BYN 1,000 does not mean that the square meter of housing should automatically cost the same amount. The governors and the mayor of the capital were instructed to get under personal control the completion of long-term construction projects in the first half of 2019. As far rental housing is concerned, its share in Belarus must be increased.
