The President signed the Directive "On rural development and improving the efficiency of the agricultural sector." The document outlines the decisions taken in April at the national seminar-meeting, as well as the goals and objectives set by the Head of State for further development of the agricultural sector and the mechanisms for their implementation. With the implementation of the Directive by the end of 2020, the volume of milk production in the country should reach 9 million tons per year, livestock and poultry products - 1 million 800 thousand tons. Labor productivity growth in agriculture should grow by 40%, and the level of wages in the industry should equal the average across Belarus economy sectors.
