International Space Congress opens in Minsk

Belarus is ready for dialogue and active participation in peaceful projects on space exploration, President Alexander Lukashenko said at the opening of the international congress of the Association of Space Explorers in Minsk. The Head of State stressed the importance of using all the practical results and the knowledge accumulated in the space field for the benefit of people. In the upcoming days, Minsk will become a platform for discussing global issues, such as the development of world space research, Belarus' contribution to the exploration of outer space. The international forum is attended by legendary cosmonauts and astronauts from 18 countries, diplomats, representatives of space agencies of different countries, Belarusian scientists and engineers.
