Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko hosted a nationwide teleconference on harvest 2019. The real situation in the fields, preparedness of farm machines and personnel, and fuel supply were in the spotlight. "We need to use all our reserves and harvest at least 9.5 million tons of grain. We need to involve all possible workforce and equipment to make up for what we lost in the previous years. This means that we need to perform most of the work within two weeks and complete the harvest within 20 days", the head of state said. Among other objectives mentioned by the president are: replenishing grain and grass reserves, storing fodder, implementing new technologies.
