The distinguished guest is visiting Belarus as a special envoy of Pope Leo XIV for the 100th anniversary of the Pinsk Diocese. The events took place the day before at the Cathedral Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Brest Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The visit has a special symbolic character: Cardinal Claudio Gugerotti, who previously served as Apostolic nuncio to Minsk, once again visited the country he calls his "second home."
