The Belarusian Foreign Minister held a series of talks on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly

Maxim Ryzhenkov discussed in detail the state of bilateral relations and the situation in the region with colleagues from Slovakia and Poland. The parties confirmed the need to maintain open channels of communication for an early settlement of the Ukrainian crisis. At the same time, Minsk has strengthened contacts with partners in Asia, Africa and Latin America. A schedule of visits and the promotion of the Eurasian Charter of Multipolarity have been agreed upon with the Iranian Foreign Minister. During the negotiations with the Foreign Ministers of Mongolia, Tanzania, Nicaragua, Botswana and Sudan, the focus was on the economy: from the supply of Belarusian machinery and the creation of assembly plants to the preparation of major business forums and high-level visits. In addition, on the sidelines of the summit, brief talks were held with the Foreign Ministers of Togo, Zimbabwe, Laos, Indonesia and the CIS member states, during which topical issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
