The first session opened in the Belarus Parliament's House of Representatives of the seventh convocation. Its key point was the elections of the speaker of the lower house. As a result of a secret ballot, Vladimir Andreichenko was reelected as the chairman. The speaker thanked the MPs for their support and expressed confidence that the new composition of the parliament will effectively address the issues of socio-economic development of the country. Members of the Council of the Republic of the seventh convocation had their first working day as well. The first session of the MPs will end on December 20.
