Belarus and Netherlands
intend to continue their vigorous political dialogue, Belarusian Minister of
Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said during the opening ceremony of the office
of the Embassy of Netherlands in Minsk.
“Netherlands has always been
one of Belarus’
top ten trade, economic, and investment partners,” stated Vladimir Makei. He
underlined that the office of the embassy is opened in the year of the 25th
anniversary of Belarus-Netherlands diplomatic relations. Several countries of
the so-called distant arc have said they are ready to open their embassies in Belarus.
Some European countries are set to follow the example of the Netherlands
and are considering a step-by-step plan of action.
