Conference on local self-government to be held in Minsk in fall

Conference on local self-government issues to be held in September in Minsk. The details of the upcoming session were discussed by the Chairman of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich and Director of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe. This meeting was preceded by 4 years of preparatory work. The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities is one of the main bodies of the Council of Europe. As an advisory body the Congress has been working for a quarter of a century. It consists of two chambers, comprising 47 member states.
