Belarus’ initiatives at UN General Assembly

Belarus’ initiatives will be heard today during the session of the UN General Assembly. Taking part in the high-level general debate are heads of states, governments and foreign ministers from 193 countries. The Belarusian delegation is headed by Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei. On Tuesday, he took part in the open discussion of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly. Today he will come up with the proposals of our country. This year Minsk has been actively promoting the initiative of the global peace process (the so-called «Helsinki-2»), as well as the idea of «the integration of integrations». All in all, the delegates are to discuss about 160 issues. They include security problems and conflicts in Ukraine and Syria, as well as the tense situation on the Korean peninsula.
