Belarus considers Laos as the most important bridge for strengthening dialogue with ASEAN countries

This was noted by Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeenko at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Thongsavanh Phomvihane. Belarus is grateful to the Lao side for its principled position and unwavering support for initiatives, including in international and parliamentary organizations, the Speaker of the House of Representatives noted. The country is counting on Laos' assistance in the positive consideration of the application for accession to the Treaty of Friendship on Cooperation in Southeast Asia, which will serve as a positive signal for the establishment of trade relations.
