The President of Belarus has met with a delegation of the EU Political and Security Committee. According to Alexander Lukashenko, Belarus is increasingly seen as a pole of stability in the region. The Belarusian leader has suggested launching a peacekeeping "Minsk process" to normalise relations between East and West by analogy with the Helsinki process. "It is necessary to start understanding the new rules of international relations based on multipolarity and respect for each other"s interests," Alexander Lukashenko said.
