"Zazhynki" folk fest held in Smolevichi district

Harvesting continues across the country. A lot depends on the weather. In some areas, the harvesting of winter barley is already being completed, in others it is just beginning. The fest of the first sheaf was celebrated in the Smolevichi district. The field of the "Pervomaiski" agricultural company has become a symbolic meeting place for farmers from all local farms. The first sheaf, according to tradition, was harvested by hand, and then machines joined the harvesting. More than 70 combine harvesters will take to the fields in Smolevichi district alone. Grain will need to be harvested from across 19 thousand hectares. To bring in each and every little grain, harvesting has to be carried out within the optimum timeframe. The total output yield depends on the quality of harvesting and compliance with agricultural technologies.
