The administration of the FEZ held online negotiations with the Directorate for the Management of Industrial Zones of Tashkent. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation, export and import potential, and the implementation of investment projects. The main outcome of the online meeting was the signing of a roadmap with a major Uzbek enterprise. In the spring of next year, construction of a new woodworking production facility is planned to begin on the territory of the Vitebsk FEZ. Also in Minsk, the FEZ and representatives of a company from Tashkent signed a memorandum of understanding. The document provides for the construction of a facility in Vitebsk for the production of consumer and industrial goods. Today, cooperation between the residents of the free economic zone and Uzbekistan is of a strategic nature and includes various models of interaction: from direct export supplies to the creation of full‑fledged production facilities.
