The first through freight train "Slavic Caravan" departed from Orsha to Uzbekistan

The train will travel along the Belarus-Russia-Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan route. It will carry cars with wood products and food products. The train will initially operate twice a month. The Orsha-Vostochnaya station has been selected for consolidation, handling cargo from all regions of Belarus. Future plans include expanding the range of cargo to include cars carrying containers delivered by road. This will allow to use all the advantages of multimodal transportation. A second train of this type has already been assembled. The project is being implemented in response to high-level decisions to increase supplies of Belarusian engineering, woodworking and agricultural products, which are in demand on the Uzbek market.
