A rainbow trout farming complex in the Stolbtsy district is a new project of the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation (BNBC)

The rainbow trout farm is designed to replace imported delicacies on Belarusian shelves and simultaneously serve as a testing ground for domestically produced feed. The first tank holds 800 cubic meters of water and thousands of fingerlings. The ambitious plan is to produce 30 tonnes of live Belarusian trout by the end of the year. Three feeding schemes, daily weight gain monitoring, and a 15-20% cost reduction are the economic parameters of the fish farming experiment. Initial results are already encouraging: trout are growing faster than expected.
