Belarus is strengthening its dialogue with Africa. The agenda includes a discussion on the supply of potash fertilizers against the background of the lifting of US sanctions. At the Belarus-Africa business forum, which was held in Moscow, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Lukashevich noted that Belarus had managed to maintain stable supplies to a number of countries, despite restrictions. According to him, the supply of potash fertilizers is primarily regulated by the requests of the African countries themselves, because potassium is not needed everywhere as fertilizer. The possibilities of these countries to accept Belarusian potash are also taken into account. In other words, these are primarily logistics and economic feasibility issues. For both buyers and sellers. The diplomat recalled that the country is one of the three world leaders in fertilizer production.
