Sunflower – a promising crop

About 7 thousand hectares were allocated this year in Belarus for sunflower cultivation. The culture is promising. Thus, the enterprise "Voznesensk" of the Chechersk district sowed 40 hectares of sunflower as an experiment. Hybrid seeds were ordered in Russia. Fertilizers were applied, sowed in time, got rid of weeds. Preliminary results have already exceeded all expectations. Now the sunflower is ripening, harvesting will begin in mid-September. There are plans to increase the area of crops by two and a half times. In total, three farms work with culture in the Chechersk region.
