The government and the state audit office have approved a price stabilization program. The main goal is to protect the buyer and establish a fair market. Unreasonable overpricing can lead to the closure of a shop. The reason for such strict measures is that in H1 inflation in Belarus went up higher than was forecasted. Moreover, the cost of many products and medicines increased because of the turbulent foreign exchange rate. The Belarusian ruble stabilized, but not all goods went down in price.
