Minsk and Tashkent plan to reach half a billion dollars in mutual trade. New points of growth and joint steps to strengthen ties were discussed at a meeting of the intergovernmental commission. Over the first six months, the trade turnover between Belarus and Uzbekistan was nearly $140 million. Belarus expressed its readiness to increase the supply of agricultural products, road, construction and municipal equipment, as well as woodworking and petrochemical products. In the future, joint projects range from the agro-industrial complex to pharmaceuticals.
