Interest in environmentally friendly transport continues to grow in Belarus

The country has more than 65.000 electric vehicles. A comparative analysis of statistical data indicates a significant increase in their number, from less than 50.000 at the beginning of the year. This dynamic growth is driven by strategic initiatives to build its own nuclear power plant, which, in turn, contributes to the sustainable development of environmentally friendly transport. As part of long‑term planning for the next four years, an increase in the fleet of electric vehicles to 300.000 units is projected, which implies achieving a 10 % share of environmentally friendly transport in the country’s total vehicle fleet.
