Growing heat-loving crops in Belarus

Watermelons resistant to low temperatures, strawberry seedlings protected from viruses and diseases. The Grodno Institute of Plant Growing is working on the acclimatization of heat-loving crops. Biologists in laboratories grow planting material with high yield potential. The results are impressive. Under certain conditions, strawberries bear fruit for four months. Belarusian watermelons are as good as Astrakhan or Central Asian ones. Moreover, some of the crops are grown in open ground.
