Farmers to harvest 1 million tons of rapeseed

The gross harvest of rapeseed in Belarus should reach 1 million tons. The farmers intend to cope with this task. The Shipiany-ASK farm in the Smolevichi district, for example, expects to harvest 3,000 tons (with an average yield of about 40 centners per hectare). By the way, about 900 hectares are allotted for winter rapeseed alone. Oilseeds, albeit costly, are profitable to grow. The demand for rapeseed oil is high.
