Belarusian Steel Works will modernize its rolling mill

The Belarusian Steel Works plant is adapting to modern conditions, focusing on innovation and the production of in-demand products. The Prime Minister of Belarus visited the plant on 30 July during his trip to Gomel Oblast. The main goal, as Aleksandr Turchin noted, is to ensure efficient operations that generate positive financial results so the plant can grow. The enterprise operates in a challenging, highly competitive market environment due to high volumes of global steel production. The plant implemented over 170 research and development projects and shipped dozens of new products in the first half of this year alone. One of its key areas of focus has been the production of rolled steel strips for the mechanical engineering industry. The Belarusian Steel Works is increasing production volumes monthly. Plans include upgrading the equipment to increase the rolled product diameter to 250 millimetres.
