Biotechnology for the benefit of nature. Korenevskaya experimental forest base is working out the technology of micropropagation. Thanks to the technique, scientists get abundant planting material from a small cutting. Such plants are more resistant to diseases and grow faster. The goal of the specialists is to reach the industrial level of microclonal forest cultivation. Plantations of such seedlings will provide the highest quality raw materials. Microcloning is a multi-step process. Its first stages are held in the laboratories of the Forest Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. After successful adaptation, the seedlings are transferred to the soil of the experimental forest base.
