Belarusian breeders work on import substitution

Corn seeds of Belarusian selection allow not only import substitution of Western counterparts and save money, but also significantly reduce the price of competitors. Nikolai Rubakha, director of the Krinichnaya experimental base, spoke about this in the Question No. 1 project. Domestic corn hybrids are most well adapted to the characteristics of our soils and give a high yield if the technologies are followed. The competition with Western producers of corn seeds is huge. Some companies spend a million dollars a day on breeding. This indicates the potential of agriculture for the global agro-industrial complex.
