Belarus to export almost 200 thousand tons of sugar this year

Part of the amount will be sold through the exchange. According to the Prime Minister of the country Roman Golovchenko, this product has a high export potential. There is a great demand for sugar on the world market and the cost is favorable for our producers. The priority, of course, is the domestic market. On average, its share is about 400 thousand tons. And in case of excessive demand, a reserve has been set aside. Mass-scale harvesting of beets will begin in less than a month, farmers expect to bring in over 5 million tons and get about 600 thousand tons of finished products.
