Belarus plans to return reference pricing

It is necessary to return to reference pricing for medicines. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee A. Lobovich. Previously, this mechanism was already in force in Belarus, but it was canceled from the beginning of the pandemic. Thus, when setting prices for imported drugs, we monitored prices in our neighbors and in markets similar to the Belarusian one. Now this issue is being considered as part of the approved price stabilization program. For gross violations, controllers can suspend the work of a business entity, whether it is a pharmacy or a store. The joint program of the government and the State Control approved by the end of the year and is designed to remove price excesses that occur due to volatility in the foreign exchange market.
