An investor from PRC will build a greenhouse complex in the Orsha district

The Vitebsk Oblast is moving on to the practical implementation of a major investment project with China — the construction of a large greenhouse complex near Orsha. The regional authorities discussed the details of the project with a delegation from Shandong Province. The agreement was signed back in 2025 in Beijing. After examining sites in five districts, the investors chose a 10-hectare plot near the special economic zone "Bremino-Orsha". The project is of strategic importance for the region: it will create new jobs and advanced technologies, as well as provide fresh vegetables year-round. The Chinese side is currently completing legal procedures to officially become a shareholder in the new joint venture. Key decisions, from the business plan to the company's structure, were approved at a meeting in Vitebsk. The project is expected to be implemented within the next three years.
