A step has been taken towards a common energy market for the Union State

The Council of Ministers has approved the draft agreement with Russia on the Rules for the Operation of the Unified Electricity Market. The document will serve as the basis for negotiations between the departments. Now, the Ministry of Energy of Belarus has the authority to sign the final rules for the operation of the common market. The Basic Agreement on the Formation of a Common Energy Market was ratified in December 2025. The next stage is to coordinate the details with the Russian side.
