Brest region was the first in the country to thresh one million tons of grain, including wintering rapeseed. Harvesting has already been completed in the region on the latter crop. Moreover, it showed record-high output of 230 thousand tons of oilseeds with a yield of 35 c/ha. More than half of the grain and leguminous crops has been harvested here. The average yield is almost 40 c/ha, with the highest figures reported in wintering wheat at 48 c/ha. This season the country’s south-western region has increased the areas under grain crops by 16 thousand hectares. Farmers are doing their best to preserve the harvest in difficult weather conditions.
