2022 farming season

Farmers of the Minsk region continue their summer field work. The results are already visible at an early stage of the harvest. So far, only winter barley is being harvested, more than 15,000 tons have already been threshed. In the central region, the area under this crop, which is 22,000 hectares, will be significantly increased. Barley is important in the agro-industrial complex for animal husbandry. In addition, one of the priority tasks for the farmers of the Minsk region is to increase the area under winter crops, namely wheat and triticale. This should bring about an increase in yields in the next season. The current volume of grain is expected to be at the level of 2 million tons.
