10 August
marks the last day to explore the halls of the National Art Museum's main
building as usual. It will close for renovations on 11 August. The museum is
holding a large-scale event to mark the beginning of its transformation. There
will be a tour of the Russian collection and a performance titled
"Preserving the Air of the Main Building". Organizers encourage
visitors to bring empty cans to preserve a piece of the old building's
atmosphere. Entrance tickets will feature a commemorative design.
